This expression literally and figuratively bears the signature of Malt Master John Ramsay. One of 17 in the Vintage series to date, 1985 is a very rich expression. Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon American Oak and ex-Oloroso sherry Spanish oak casks, the influences of each are readily identifiable, yet it carries the Glenrothes flavor trademark of freshness and creaminess. Quite a substantial, satisfying and lovely spirit.

SUGGESTED CHOCOLATE PAIRING
Dark Grignottine's caramelized almond, pistachio & orange peel tease out the fruit and sherry flavors of this whisky, while the crunchiness adds a wonderful contrasting texture. Picante's gooey fruit & spicy goodness delivers an entirely different yet equally heavenly experience with this pairing.
SUGGESTED CIGAR PAIRING
The Olde World Reserve Maduro enhances the fruit and honey of the Glenrothes, and also plays well with the spicy oaky finish. A fabulous combination.
