Dried fruits soaked in bourbon, floral note in the background followed by vanilla, oranges & cinnamon spice. 

Body:

Creamy rich body.

Palate:

Flavors close to aromas with a burst of fruit in honey initially on the palate.  Drier notes of oak emerge with developing flavors of orange marmalade.

Finish:

Long spicy finish with lingering fruit and oak.

This expression literally and figuratively bears the signature of Malt Master John Ramsay.  One of 17 in the Vintage series to date, 1985 is a very rich expression.  Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon American Oak and ex-Oloroso sherry Spanish oak casks, the influences of each are readily identifiable, yet it carries the Glenrothes flavor trademark of freshness and creaminess.  Quite a substantial, satisfying and lovely spirit.
