Palate:
|
Full and dry flavors with a citrus crispness combined with faint brine. Peat is well integrated contributing an earthiness and depth of flavor rather than an overt smokiness. Fruit is complex...think smoked almonds with caramelized fruit peel dusted with spice. A slight saltiness is also detected on the palate.

This cask strength Bowmore was finished in a sherry cask expertly selected by Independent Bottler A. D. Rattray. Distilled in 1991 it has been aged 18 years which accounts for the rich and deep flavors. This limited edition (470 bottles) is elegant and distinctive without totally losing the original distiller's house style.

SUGGESTED CHOCOLATE PAIRING
The complex flavors of this dram make it supremely easy to match to the Chuao bonbons. Le Citron accentuates the fruity characteristics and caramel flavors perfectly, adding a wonderful gooey texture to the mix. Black & White's almond hazelnut filling offers a great counterpoint to this scotch. Its almost buttery filling offers a delicious contrasting element to the total taste experience. SUGGESTED CIGAR PAIRING
The Signature 1932 is a medium to full strength, complex cigar. What's really noticeable about this combination is the creamy nuts and wood flavors that are in the cigar, and how they complement the Bowmore.
