One can imagine a peaty marsh, then a medicinal note emerges. With time you experience a release of wood and spice, all with an overall pungency.

Fuller body than one would expect from the light color.

Ledaig resembles a gentler expression of typical Islay Sea, Peat and Smoke characteristics. It offers a great introduction to peated malts. Its life begins at Tobermory, the only distillery on the Island of Mull. Then it is matured in superior oak casks at the Deanston warehouse in the Highlands. Perhaps this is the reason for its "softer" less maritime characteristics.

SUGGESTED CHOCOLATE PAIRING
This beautiful looking bonbon has a wonderful malty smoky character that perfectly complements this scotch.
SUGGESTED CIGAR PAIRING
This double ligero cigar by CAO adds some spice to this match perfectly offsetting the peat and enhancing the sweetness of the malt.
