A mighty scotch collection sits tucked in the tiny alcove just left of the famous Round Robin Bar in the Willard Intercontinental Hotel.  The space might be cramped but the collection is worth a visit.  Here, over 130 single malts are available for your pleasure.  In addition to the one-ounce dram, quarter tastings are available, as are flights to increase the possibilities of sampling.  Few tables and chairs fit in these cramped quarters, so its best to come midweek or early before the crush of the crowds makes it difficult to get the bartender's full attention. 

The famous watering hole Round Robin bar should already be on your list of places to visit in D.C..  Set just off the beautifully remodeled lobby of the Willard hotel, it is a historic gem with a cocktail tradition dating back to the 1850's.  Their Maker's Mark Mint Julep is legendary.
